About Me

Hi, I’m Patricia Duong — a freelance content producer and social reporter who genuinely loves telling stories that matter in sports. I focus on creating digital and social-first content that feels real and reflects the people and moments often overlooked. Whether it’s a profile on an up-and-coming athlete or coverage of a high-stakes event, I care about getting to the heart of the story.

I earned my master’s degree in Broadcast and Digital Journalism, specializing in Sports Media, from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. While there, I founded the AAJA chapter on campus — a project that meant a lot to me personally. It was about making space for more voices, especially in a field where representation still has a long way to go.

As a first-generation Asian American and former athlete, I bring a mix of perspective, empathy, and drive to every assignment. I’ve learned to lead, adapt, and stay curious — qualities that show up in the way I produce, report, and collaborate.

Recently, I’ve been diving into combat sports — producing interviews and stories that reflect the complexity and humanity of that space. But my work spans a wide range of sports, and I’m excited to keep building on that. I’m looking for full-time opportunities where I can contribute to a smart, creative team and continue growing as a journalist.

Thanks for taking the time to learn more about me. If you’re looking for someone who brings a thoughtful, honest approach to sports storytelling — I’d love to connect.
